Ms. Eikeland has a Norwegian law degree from the University of Oslo. She has extensive experience in marine insurance, protection and indemnity, third party liability insurance, and marine claims. Before joining Maltzman Foreman, Ms. Eikeland spent four years working at Assuranceforeningen Skuld (Mutual) Protection and Indemnity Club in Oslo, Norway. As an attorney (Advokatfullmektig) and Claims Executive for Skuld, Ms. Eikeland had the opportunity of handling a wide array of FDD (freight, demurrage, and defense) and P&I (protection and indemnity) claims including tank and cargo claims on behalf of shipowners and charterers, pollution cases, general average, collision cases, personal injury, and stowaways. Prior to joining Skuld, Ms. Eikeland worked as Manager of Safety Management Systems for Norwegian Cruise Line in Miami, Florida. She has also worked in oil and gas insurance for Storebrand (a/k/a Gard) handling, predominantly, excess liability claims in the United States.
