Gregory Elder is a trial attorney who has tried numerous bench and jury trials in both state and federal courts around the country.  His practice focuses on complex commercial and business litigation, employment, insurance, admiralty and personal injury. 

In his 20 plus years of legal experience, Mr. Elder has developed extensive knowledge in specific areas of personal injury, premises liability, products liability, insurance disputes, breach of contracts, aviation disasters, maritime accidents, shareholder disputes, covenants not to compete, trade secrets, discrimination, director/officer liability, banking regulatory actions, and real estate development and construction disputes.

Mr. Elder prides himself on being a tireless and relentless advocate for his clients inside and outside of the courtroom.  One of his other strengths is to “think out of the box” in unusual cases in order to achieve successful result for his clients.

Before joining Maltzman &  Foreman, Mr. Elder was a partner with the law firm of Barkan & Robon Ltd..  He is also a former acting Municipal Judge, and has served on numerous boards, including a rotary board, government zoning board, and various charitable fundraising boards.

Mr. Elder also frequently lectures on various legal topics.  His recent lectures have included presentations to the following: shopping center and business owners on how to avoid premises liability; paralegals and attorneys on tort reform and how to successfully manage large injury cases; engineers and architects on how to minimize malpractice exposure; and civic leaders on the role religion has played in the development of the law in the United States.

Mr. Elder has been happily married for 24 years and has two children. His wife is also an attorney, who devotes herself to helping abused and neglected children.  Mr. Elder enjoys sailing, fishing, camping, and fitness.
