Mr. Simon, a partner and senior litigator at Maltzman Foreman, heads the firm's third party insurance defense division. He has experience representing a wide variety of clients in the evaluation and defense of both first party insurance claims and third party liability claims in state and federal courts throughout Florida. He has investigated and litigated insurance claims for domestic and foreign insurers. His experience defending third party claims includes wrongful death, premises liability, and condominium claims. Mr. Simon also specializes in the defense of professional liability claims including Error and Omission (E&O) against brokers and agents as well as legal malpractice claims.

 

He has defended nursing homes in Chapter 400 cases and has advised nursing homes as personal counsel. He has also defended medical malpractice claims involving physicians, clinics, and nurses.

 

Furthermore, Mr. Simon has substantial experience litigating product liability claims for a broad range of corporate clients from mass torts involving medical devices to claims against the manufacturers of air guns and firearms. As local counsel, Mr. Simon had primary responsibility for coordinating discovery for a Fortune 500 company in over 500 silicone gel breast implant cases throughout the state of Florida.
