MIAMI, FL (June 22, 2009) – Maltzman Foreman, a Miami-based litigation firm, announced that attorney Karina M. Cerda Collazo has been named partner. She previously served as an associate in the firm.

Cerda Collazo’s practice area focuses on admiralty and maritime law. She has defended clients in wrongful death lawsuits, maritime personal injury claims involving passengers and crew, longshoremen claims and all types of tort litigation and proceedings under the U.S. Limitation of Liability Act.

Cerda Collazo earned her undergraduate degree from Florida International University in 1999 and her law degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Nova University in 2002.

Prior to earning her degrees, Cerda Collazo worked in the health care industry where she interacted regularly with doctors and other medical professionals. That background has proven to be a major asset while defending personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits the firm said.
